Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Showgoer is operated by Dayboat Holdings LLC. This policy explains what information Showgoer collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

  • Account information: your email address and password, or the details provided when you sign in with Apple or Google (your name and email address; Apple may give us a private relay email instead).
  • Profile information: your display name, username, profile photo, bio, home city and music preferences.
  • Phone number (optional): if you add it, so friends who have your number in their contacts can find you.
  • Concert activity: the shows you log (artist, venue, city, date, tour, openers, favourite songs, setlists), your rankings and comparisons, venue ratings and reviews, upcoming shows and shows you want to see, and friends you tag as having attended with you.
  • Photos and videos: ticket images, profile photos and videos you choose to upload.
  • Social activity: who you follow, likes, comments and notifications.

Contacts (Find Friends)

If you choose to sync your contacts, the phone numbers in your address book are sent to our servers only to check which of them belong to existing Showgoer users. Contact names never leave your device. The phone numbers are used only for that check and are not stored. Contact sync only happens when you start it, and you can turn off access at any time in iOS Settings.

Camera and photo library

Showgoer accesses your camera or photos only when you choose to take or pick a photo, for example a ticket image or profile photo, and saves an image to your library only when you choose to.

Sharing

When you share a stub, the image is created on your device. If you share to Instagram Stories, the image is handed to the Instagram app on your device. If you use the share sheet, it goes to the app you pick. Those apps' own privacy policies apply to what you post there.

What other people can see

  • Any Showgoer user can see your display name, username, profile photo, bio and show count, and can find you by name or username.
  • People who follow you can see the shows you log and your rankings.
  • Comments and likes you leave are visible to people who can see that show.
  • Your email address and phone number aren't shown to other users. Someone who already knows your phone number can use it to find your profile.

How we use information

To provide and improve Showgoer: running your account, showing your concerts and rankings, helping you find and follow friends, sending in-app notifications, and keeping the service secure. We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We use service providers to run Showgoer:

  • Supabase (database, authentication, file storage)
  • WorkOS (Google sign-in)
  • Apple (Sign in with Apple)
  • Setlist.fm (looking up concert and setlist information; we send search terms such as artist names, not your personal information)

Data retention and deletion

Your information is kept while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and associated data in the app at any time: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Children

Showgoer isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. We'll change the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
